Stephen Colbert wants to humble Kanye West by asking us all to buy his Christmas Special album off iTunes at exactly 5:00pm eastern on Wednesday 3rd December 2008 (next Wednesday). The intention is to bump West's album off its spot on the iTunes top 10 list. I'm assuming that Colbert is operating on the logic that the top 10 list works in a very digg-like fashion where it measures sudden changes over a short time-delta. I think that's a safe assumption since that's how iTunes' podcast top 10 operates as well. It's all a ridiculous and completely Colbert-like stunt to get us to buy his crappy stuff. But at the same time Kanye West is highly overrated musically (imho), and basically Vanilla-Ices many of his songs. What would you do?
